Next Century gets an A+ for “Home-work”

House-Collage_Next Century

Last Friday, Next Century Corporation employees were hard at work–volunteering at the Pena home. Several employees had hoped to arrange a community service event to support the local community. The opportunity arose when our very own John McBeth, (also, Next Century CEO) suggested a day at the Pena renovation project. Kudos to the Next Century team for giving back to the community! The rafters have been repaired; a new front door was installed, and the interior framing is 90% complete.

Making a Dent

Literally, we got off to a great start on our first workday at the Pena home! We met Adam, Charis, their children, and Charis’ parents and brother from Texas who also pitched in.  We did lots of interior framing, demolition of interior walls and flooring, dump runs, lumber provisioning, and we helped install a new front door. At mid-day our volunteers enjoyed a delicious  lunch, generously hosted by Casey’s Crab Co.
